Movers Group Seeks Review of $20B Contract for Military Moves

2024.05.20 - A coalition of 250 professional movers, dubbed “Movers for America,” is calling on Congress to direct the Government Accountability Office to pause a controversial $20 billion contract and conduct a thorough evaluation of the new program slated to provide an estimated 300,000 annual moves for the nation’s military members and their families.

Military Families Overwhelmingly Satisfied with Current PCS System

Global Household Goods Contract on track for 2024 peak moving season

2024.05.16 - As of May 13, the Department of Defense (DOD) had sent 28 task orders to HomeSafe, the primary GHC contractor, for shipment requests submitted across the initial sites for move dates between April and June. Eight moves have been completed under GHC to date, with four more scheduled in the coming days.
